I am not sure about iOS - I don't have a device to test on, and I don't want to spend money getting one. Krita 3.0 will be based on Qt5, and I want Krita Sketch 3.0 to be available on Android at least. I've done an experimental port last year, and back then it was just too early to take that step. September: Krita 2.9 (with a host of hot features for artists), but still only for Windows and Linux, maybe with an experimental version for OSX. The really good Android (and iOS) support only comes with Qt5. Qt4's Android support is preliminary and experimental.Īnd Krita 2.8 is still based on Qt4. It's technically possible to port Krita Sketch to Android right now, but we're running into the roadmap of the underlying technology we use, Qt, here. So I really want an Android version of Krita as well.īut it'll take a bit of time before that happens. However, I've got a Cintiq Hybrid Companion now and I really miss Krita when I use the cintiq in Android mode. In the process I really started to like Windows 8 on tablets, it worked better for me than Android or iOS. The touch part of Krita Gemini came originally from a project to create a version of Krita for Intel-based Windows 8 tablets.
